In the Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA), the affidavit for taking power connection for Siddhartha NCR One located in Sector 95 will expire on Monday. To get a new connection, Siddhartha Build Homes Pvt Ltd has to submit bank guarantee to South Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), which has not been deposited till now. Monday is the holiday of Guru Nanak Jayanti. If the bank guarantee is not deposited by Tuesday, then the orders banning the generators of EPCA will be implemented in this colony. This can cause a power crisis in the society.
This is the case
In the year 2015, this developer started giving possession to residents in Siddhartha NCR One. About 100 families are now living in this society. Due to lack of electricity connection, they are still getting electricity from the generator. Due to this, the level of pollution is increasing. At the same time, the residents are also facing financial losses.
Gave this affidavit
The EPCA had banned the supply of electricity from generators in residential colonies in October over rising pollution. After this, the developer had given affidavits in EPCA and DHBVN that he will submit the bank guarantee before 30 November. The developer had said that he did not have Rs 3.74 crore in lieu of the bank guarantee, but would instead give 1.5 acres of land to the DHBVN as a bank guarantee. On 19 November last, a meeting was chaired by the Chief Engineer of DHBVN in this regard, on behalf of the representatives of this developer, that in lieu of this land, 1 acre farm house will be kept as bank guarantee. On November 20, DHBVN had given notice to the developer that 1.5 acres of land, which should be worth Rs 5.61 crore as bank guarantee, be deposited before the end of the period of affidavit, issuing them an electricity connection. The notice also stated that if the order of ban on generator would be implemented in Siddhartha NCR One after the expiry of the time period. If the residents face problems with this, then the developer will himself be responsible.
