Ahmedabad, Dec 1 (Gujarat) The Gujarat government on Tuesday reduced the cost of RT-PCR testing of Kovid-19 in private laboratories from Rs 1,500 to Rs 800. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel told reporters here that because the cost of the test kit has come down, the state government decided to provide this benefit to the people. Patel said, “Private laboratories authorized by the state government will charge Rs 800 for RT-PCR testing from today, which is Rs 700 less than the current price.” He said that after mass production the cost of the test kit has decreased.
