Ahmedabad, Nov 17 (Gujarat) The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Gujarat has registered cases against 27 government employees this year over assets exceeding known sources of income. The Bureau said in a release on Tuesday that out of these 27 accused, there are three first-class officers, eight second-class officers, 16 third-class employees. Ahmedabad, Nov 17 (Gujarat) The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Gujarat has registered cases against 27 government employees this year over assets exceeding known sources of income. The Bureau said in a release on Tuesday that out of these 27 accused, there are three first-class officers, eight second-class officers, 16 third-class employees. The state ACB registered a case against 27 government employees this year during a campaign to find more than a known source of income and to locate benami properties. More than known sources of income, properties include land, residential buildings etc. and their total market value is Rs 38.75 crore. According to the release, from January 1 to November 13 this year, these cases were registered across the state. Eight of the accused are employees of Gujarat Land Development Corporation, although now this corporation has been dissolved. Apart from this, there are three personnel each from Urban Development and Revenue Departments, four from Panchayat Department, two each from Public Works Department and Gujarat Pollution Control Board and one each from Police, Education, Irrigation, Health and Mines and Minerals Departments. All these have been imposed with the relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and Benami Property Transactions Act.
