Google I / O is back. Postponed last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic and then canceled due to social unrest caused by the death of George Floyd, the developers’ meeting will take place virtually in 2021.
Without revealing the program of its I / O, Google has set up an online puzzle-based game which, once solved, reveals the dates of the event. The I / O will take place from May 18 to 20 and, logically, should begin with a presentation conference for the general public. There will then be sessions reserved for developers which, virtual format requires, will all be accessible free of charge.
Android 12 on the program
Each year, Google takes advantage of its I / O to unveil the new version of its flagship operating system. Android 12 is expected to be presented by the company on May 18 which, if all goes well, is expected to launch a public beta in stride. First previews are already available, but lack most of the new features.

Logic would want Google to take advantage of I / O to unveil other new software (Assistant, Google TV etc.) but also some new hardware (Google Nest, Pixel 5a?). A few weeks later, on June 7, Apple will follow with its WWDC, also virtual.
