Google has released a special doodle on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of Indian swimmer Aarti Saha. She is also one of the first to achieve many things. She was the first Indian woman to receive the Padma Shri. She received the honor in 1960.

At the age of 12, Saha competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. She was also one of four women on the team. At the age of 18, she tried to swim the English Channel.

The first attempt failed but the second attempt was successful. She was the first Asian woman to achieve this. A total distance of 67.5 km was covered in 16 hours and 20 minutes.

It was created by Lavanya Naidu, an artist from Kolkata. Speaking about Saha, Lavanya said that she is very well known. She is one of the proudest women in our country. It is said to be the inspiration for those who dream big and want to make it come true.
