Gionee has launched a new budget smartphone in the Indian market. The Gionee F8 Neo device has been released. Priced at Rs 5,499, the Gionee F8 Neo will be available to customers using the company’s strong distribution network.
Gionee India has announced that 1.5 to 2.0 lakh mobile phone retailers will launch the new Gionee F8 Neo smartphones in all corners of the country.
The Gionee F8 Neo has a 5.45-inch LCD display. This display also has an eye comfort feature. This makes it easier to look at the screen and read in dim light. The device is available in a 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. The storage on the device can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The device is powered by an Octacore processor.
The Gionee F8 Neo has an 8-megapixel single rear camera. It also has a 5-megapixel front selfie shooter for selfies and video calls. The camera settings also include Face Unlock, Slow Motion, Panorama, Night Mode, Time Lapse, Burst Mode, QR Code, and Face Beauty. The device is available in three colors: blue, black, and red. The device has a 3,000 mAh battery with standard 10W charging support.
After a gap of one year, the company has made a comeback in the Indian smartphone market with its Gionee Max device. Jaina Group has acquired the holding arm of Carbon Mobile, the Indian division of Gionee.
The brand has been controlled by the GPL Group since 2018. It is the same company that launched the carbon branded smartphones and devices in 2009 in association with the Bengaluru-based UTL Group.
Gionee said that there is a dearth of honest and high-end smartphones in the entry-level smartphone segment in India and in such a scenario, they are launching their low-cost smartphone, the F8 Neo.
Pardeep Jain, Managing Director, GPL, which manages Gionee in India, said the company aims to cater to customers who want low-cost, high-quality smartphones.
Vaibhav Gupta, the co-founder of Udan, said, “We are proud to work with Gionee to launch the super smartphone F8 Neo on the Udan platform and to deliver the latest and best electronics products to retailers and consumers across India.”
