Gehlot on Love Jihad – BJP created communal harmony to divide the country

Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday launched a major attack on Bharti Janata Party (BJP) regarding Love Jihad. He has said that ‘love-jihad’ is a term coined by the BJP to divide the country. While tweeting on Love Jihad, Gehlot said, “Marriage is a matter of personal liberty and bringing a law to stop it is completely unconstitutional.” In tweeting one after the other, Gehlot, while expressing his views on ‘love-jihad’, targeted the BJP behind it.

In a tweet, Gehlot wrote that ‘Love Jihad is a term coined by the BJP to divide the country and spoil communal harmony. Marriage is a matter of personal liberty, bringing a law to curb it is completely unconstitutional and this law will not survive in any court. Jihad has no place in love.

In another tweet, he said, ‘They are creating an environment in the country where adults will depend on the mercy of the state power for consent. Marriage is a personal decision and they are curbing it, it is like snatching personal freedom. ‘

In a third tweet on the ‘love-jihad’ chief minister, Gehlot said, “It is going to disrupt communal harmony and promote social struggle and defy constitutional provisions.” The state does not discriminate against the citizens on any basis. ”Let us state that UP has announced a law against‘ love-jihad ’and the MP government is also planning to bring a law on the same lines.
