Ford Bronco ‘VelociRaptor’ by Hennessey: V8 Power

The resurgence of the Ford Bronco has been one of the big and long-awaited announcements that have been made in this turbulent year, with the first units scheduled for delivery in the spring of 2021.

Despite this, some trainers have not been able to hold out and have already announced their plans for the American 4×4, Hennessey being the most prominent of them as his VelociRaptor promises large doses of adrenaline.

Eight cylinders to the rescue

The main preparation secret that this specialist has in mind is a powerful 5.0-liter V8 block that will replace the V6 EcoBoost that the oval brand mounts as standard on the production Bronco. Thanks to the supercharging and the presence of different high-performance components, the new engine will be able to develop no less than 750 horsepower, associated with a 10-speed automatic gearbox from Ford itself. According to the preparer’s estimates, the VelociRaptor V8 will be capable of reaching 60 mph (96 km / h) in 4.5 seconds.

In addition to the supercharged V8, Hennessey has prepared a number of items to enhance the off-road’s aesthetics as well as its off-road capabilities.

For this reason, the Bronco will receive a new hood with air intakes included, larger wheels mounted on special tires, eye-catching graphics, an interior with custom leather upholstery, as well as an optimized suspension, and an exhaust line made in stainless steel, among other things.

“Over the past two years, we have built over 70 Ford Raptor Gen 2 (F-150) units for our customers by eliminating the EcoBoost V6 and replacing it with the same supercharged 750 hp 5.0 V8. I wanted to build the ultimate Ford Bronco for myself and our customers. The 2021 Bronco may be one of the most desired vehicles since the introduction of the Ford GT. We look forward to taking the new Bronco to the next level and beyond, “ said Hennessey Performance Founder and CEO John Hennessey.

Limited production

This project will be based on both the two-door and the four-door body and the initial plans of the preparer are to build a total of 24 units for the MY2021, each of them at a rate of 225,000 dollars plus shipping costs, that is, 192,200 euros to change.

The VelociRaptor V8 comes with a warranty of three years or 36,000 miles (57,936 kilometers) and can be ordered directly or through one of Hennessey Ford dealers authorized by the specialist.
