The rain on Sunday in the district has washed away the pollution stains to a great extent. The pollution levels have reduced compared to the last few days and the city air has become somewhat breathable. The pollution level in the district has reached the middle category after 40 days and the Air Quality Index was recorded below 200. The air of Ballabhgarh area has become very clear. The pollution level has reached a satisfactory range here.
The pollution levels in the city started increasing from the beginning of October. In view of pollution, the Graded Response Action Plan was implemented in the cities of Delhi and NCR from October 15. After the implementation of the action plan, many efforts were being made by the administration to control pollution, but all were proving to be insufficient. The pollution level in the city was constantly increasing. AQI reached 414 on Sunday after the Diwali relief fireworks. After the rain, the pollution level in the city started decreasing since Sunday night.
According to data released by the Central Pollution Control Board, AQI reached below 200 on Monday. Monday was down by 228 points compared to Sunday.
Regional Officer of Pollution Control Board Dinesh Kumar said that due to rain, polluted particles have come to the ground. The dust accumulated on the trees has also been completely cleared. Now the dust is not blowing on the roads, due to which the level of pollution has reduced.
