Facebook appeared with a dating service to find the ‘man of the mind’

Tech Desk: For the past few days, Facebook has been trying to bring a dating feature to Europe. This time the social media giant launched that facility for the people of Europe.

Facebook’s dating feature (Facebook Dating) has been hampered by local regulators over data security issues. That’s why it’s a little late to launch Facebook Dating in Europe.

Facebook’s dating service will help you find a romantic partner on social networks. However, the company said that this feature does not allow users to match their partners on their Facebook friend list.

This means that there is no chance of you becoming a dating partner from all the friends you already have on your Facebook profile.

“After the US, we are currently launching a dating service in Europe,” Facebook said in a statement following the launch of the new feature.

Our dating service will help people find the right partner in a way that makes the relationship more meaningful, that is, the boundaries of choice and acquaintance are the same.

In 2016, it was announced that Facebook will launch its dating service in the United States. After a long delay, Facebook’s dating service was finally launched in the United States in 2019.

The service is believed to have been launched to compete with other well-known dating sites in the European market, such as Bumble, Badoo, and Match Group’s Tinder and OkCupid.

The service was scheduled to launch in Europe in February this year. But later the Irish Data Protection Commission sat on the issue.

According to them, the notice was sent just 10 days before the launch of this feature. And that’s why Facebook is lagging behind the launch of these features in Europe.

A few days ago, Graham Doyle, deputy commissioner of the Irish Data Protection Commission, said: But we will always monitor this new product.

The launch of this dating service was delayed for several days due to Corona. However, Facebook Dating also has a pandemic-friendly feature.

With the help of that feature called ‘Virtual Dates’, any user can make love in a video call. However, the social media giant has said that the issue of security of user data has been strengthened in Facebook Dating.

The company says that users’ data is protected and their romantic activities will be kept safe from any user’s profile with the utmost care.
