Two weeks after its second coronation in the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, Face Time Bourbon will try to pin the Prix de France Speed Race on its prize list this Sunday, February 14 at Vincennes.
Only nine trotters aged 5 to 11 will compete there on the 2,100-meter speed course of the big track. Holder of the best time in history on this route (kilometer reduction of 1’09”4) and double winner of the Prix d’Amérique, Face Time Bourbon will be the favorite and will try to follow in the footsteps of Meaulnes du Corta, Ready Cash and Bold Eagle, trotters who won the Prix d’Amérique and the Prix de France in the same year in the 21st century. A double that a certain Davidson du Pont had deprived him of last year.
Davidson du Pont leads the opposition
Dauphin of Face Time Bourbon in the Prix d’Amérique 2020 and 2021, Davidson du Pont beat him in the Prix de France last year. The resident of Jean-Michel Bazire will try once again to achieve this feat. Third behind the two champions in the Prix d’Amérique at the end of January but also in the Prix de France last year, the mare Délia du Pommereux will act as referee. The Swede Aetos Kronos, Feliciano and the courageous Bahia Quesnot can play the spoilsport.
