According to The Telegraph, Luke Shaw broke several ribs in the round of 16 of Euro 2021 against Germany. The English side has yet finished the competition, still holder until the final where he opened the scoring against Italy.

Decreased in the round of 16, the left side of the English selection Luke Shaw held on to finish the competition. Against Italy in the final, at Wembley, the Manchester United side even appeared early in the game to open the scoring. But according to The Telegraph, Shaw would have played with broken ribs from the quarterfinal.
