According to Cope’s information, the company of lip reading experts commissioned by La Liga would not have found a racist insult from Juan Cala against Mouctar Diakhaby. The Valencia player left the field on Sunday accusing the opposing defender of having called him “black shit”.
Juan Cala would not have uttered a racist insult against Mouctar Diakhaby. This is what Spanish radio Cope reveals, five days after the La Liga meeting which was temporarily interrupted in the 30th minute between Cadiz and Valencia.
Cala claims her innocence
Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish Football League, confirmed this Thursday the existence of an audio recording in this case of suspicion of racist remarks. The lip-reading expert society reportedly assured that Juan Cala uttered the words “shit”, “leave me alone” or “excuse me, don’t get angry”. Mouctar Diakhaby accused the defender of having called him “black shit”.
The former OL defender then left the field, causing the game to be interrupted. Under the threat of a defeat by green carpet, the players of Valencia then returned to the lawn, without Diakhaby. But Valencia finally lost at the end of the game (2-1).
Since then, the Valencia club have repeatedly denounced the alleged racist insults. Mouctar Diakhaby also reiterated his accusations. In a press conference, Juan Cala had indicated for his part that he had not made any racist remarks. The report is expected to be made public this Friday and could therefore confirm the version of the Cadiz player.
