The Rennes and PSG players observed a minute of silence in tribute to Christophe Revault before the start of the meeting, this Sunday evening.
As a prelude to the meeting between Stade Rennais and PSG, the players and staff of the two teams respected a minute of silence in tribute to Christophe Revault, who died on Friday at the age of 49. The former goalkeeper had worn the colors of both clubs during his professional career.
Former PSG and Rennes player
Christophe Revault first played for Paris Saint-Germain, during the 1997-1998 season. He then had two trips to Stade Rennais, first between 1998 and 2000, just after his Parisian adventure, then later in his career, the time of a season during which he played only one match, in 2006-2007.
Lionel Charbonnier, former goalkeeper of the France team and AJ Auxerre in particular, also told RMC his emotion after the death of a former colleague. “‘In your career, you grow because you have great teammates, but also because you have great opponents. And Christophe was one of them…”, he confided. All weekend long, the memory of Christophe Revault will have been greeted by football players.
