For the Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic, interviewed by Téléfoot, the double confrontation between the Catalans and the Parisians, Tuesday on RMC Sport (9pm), is “the poster for the round of 16”.
Nine years after leaving Ligue 1, Miralem Pjanic will return to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday at Camp Nou, in the round of 16 of the Champions League. “It is a club which always aims more every year, which always wants more. It will not be easy”, slips the Bosnian international, interviewed by Telefoot this Sunday.
Landed at Barça after the humiliation received against Bayern Munich in Lisbon in August (2-8), Pjanic wants to put the Catalan club back to its rightful European place. “For us, it is very important to pass this round. Barcelona are a club which must be in the last four every year,” warns Pjanic.
Disappointing playing time
The former Juve player is hoping to be on the pitch at Camp Nou, in a season where his playing time is not as high as hoped. In La Liga, he has only started five times in 22 matches. Fortunately, Ronald Koeman seems to trust him in the Champions League with six starts out of the six matches in the group stage.
“I have played in all the clubs (where he has been), with all the coaches I have had. Getting into a situation like that is not easy and I accept it very hard but I have no doubts. no. I don’t have the exact reasons, I don’t know why I don’t have the expected playing time “, regrets Pjanic.
Revealed with Lyon, notably thanks to his decisive goal at Santiago Bernabeu in 2009-2010 in the knockout stages of the Champions League, the Bosnian will be keen to shine against PSG on Tuesday.
