Club Brugge KV players will probably remember the Belgian champions’ 18th title celebration on the lawns of Antwerp (1-3) last Sunday. Second at the end of the regular season behind Royal Union Saint-Guillois, Alfred Schrader’s men signed on the best final stage (four wins and one draw) to take the crown.

The gleeful scenes seen near Antwerp Stadium last weekend provided a sigh of relief for fans of Blue and Black, who won their third consecutive league title. And to the players’ relief, Bruges club president Bart Verheghe took care of it.

While there is still one match to be played, Verheghe has decided to offer his men a trip to Ibiza, ahead of the end of this 2021/2022 practice in the Jupiler Pro League, against Anderlecht at the Jan Breydel Stadium on Sunday. The club did not hide this by posting a similar snapshot on its social networks.

According to RTL Belgium, after celebrating the title with supporters on Monday, a plane arrived to pick them up at the beginning of the week to take them to their destinations. It is therefore from the Balearic Islands that the people of Bruges will try to calmly prepare for their last match before a well-deserved vacation. The story does not say, however, if some players will return to Ibiza after the final whistle on Sunday.
