OM: Nasser Larguet will leave the club "personal reasons"

Nasser Larguet, the current director of the OM training center and former interim coach of the first team (9 games between February and March 2021), will leave the Marseille club next week for “personal reasons”.

The adventure between Nasser Larguet and Olympique de Marseille is coming to an end. The Marseille club on Monday announced the departure of its current director of the training center next week “for personal reasons”. Technician was appointed on this post in July 2019.

“Olympique de Marseille respects this decision and would like to thank Nasser for his contribution for almost three years to the youth of the training center, but also to the professional team, writes OM in a press release. Nine meetings at the head of the professional team

The general public discovered his face at the end of the winter of 2021. After the departure of Andre Villas-Boas, Larguet held the position of interim first-team coach for a month, between early February and early March. When Jorge Sampaoli was appointed, he led nine games as head of the professional group before going into the shadows.

An accredited trainer, Larguet notably directed the training centers of AS Kahn, Caen and Strasbourg. In OM, he launched Bamba Dieng among the professionals or who after training brought in promising Salim Ben Seghir and Bilal Nadir from OGC Nice to train.
