Mercato: Lens will already hold Klaus’s successor
Racing Club de Lens and Jimmy Cabot have struck a deal for Angers player to join Sang Et or next season, according to L’Equipe. He could be a replacement for Jonathan Kloss if the latter were to leave.
The Racing Club de Lens would have found a successor to Jonathan Kloss. For a few days the Sang et Or club agreed with the Angers’ right wing, Jimmy Cabot. At the end of the contract in 2023, the 28-year-old will join Lancois from next season with a check of 2 million euros, L’Equipe announced. A seasoned player (he has just passed 100 Ligue 1 games) and capable of playing as a true Pistons, Cabot could be Jonathan Klaus’ replacement, if the latter were to leave during the next summer’s transfer window.

clause not expanded
Very humble, while he has only one year of the contract left, the French neo-international still hasn’t expanded with the lens, despite many discussions in recent weeks. This season, Lancois has turned to the defender dimension by becoming an international during the French team’s final gathering in March. Called up by Didier Deschamps, he came into the game against Cte d’Ivoire, before experiencing his first stint at Lille against South Africa.
A few days later, he narrated his feelings to the infiltrators of RMC. “A week and a half of dreams, even of tension, but of dreams, with stars in their eyes. Exploring a world I didn’t know and that I love. A change of situation, too, as many tell me, Even if I don’t want to tell myself. It’s only joy, only more, only bonuses, only good things. To tell myself I still have to go my way, I have to keep it up Will have to work harder to keep up.”
