AC Milan is active for next season. Currently at the top of Serie A despite their draw against Torino (0-0) on Sunday, Rossoneri is looking to reinvent himself next season, especially in attack. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Domenico Berardi’s profile matches that of Milanese coach Stefano Pioli. Under the contract with Sassuolo until 2024, the Italian international could be loaned out rather than sold. Gripped by financial difficulties, the Milanese club could not align with the demands of Sassuolo, who asks for 30 million euros for their player.

“Berardi would be perfect for Milan. If I were the general manager of a big Italian club, he would be the first player I would have brought in,” Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevalli told Gazzetta. The 27-year-old is off to an interesting start to 2022 as he has already delivered seven assists in the comeback phase. Only Ousmane Dembele (8) does better in five major championships.

If the Berardi operation fails, Paolo Maldini and Milan already have other leads, including Noah Lange and Charles de Catelare, FC Bruges players who have distinguished themselves in the Champions League this season.
