After two heavy defeats against Marseille and Lorient, Saint-Etienne secured a play-off spot in Ligue 1 before welcoming Brest this Saturday (5pm). To rectify the situation, Pascal Dupraz would have tightened his temper with his players. According to the team, the coach also asked Muslims to break the fast during this month of Ramzan.

The year 2022 was off to a good start for AS Saint-Etienne. While the club was stuck in the red zone for a good part of the season, the arrival of Pascal Dupraz on the bench looked like the players got a second wind. But the Greens are not going through a good phase and now occupy the play-off spot. They are thus within reach of the Girondins de Bordeaux, who, despite their 19th place, are only one point behind.

After heavy losses against Olympique de Marseille (2-4) and Lorient (6-2), Dupraz decided to take matters into his own hands. In order for the maintenance operation to be successful, the coach must have issued a special request to some of his players. According to L’Equipe, the French may have asked Muslims to break their fast during this month of Ramadan. The media did not specify whether the request was accepted by “two-thirds” of the workforce concerned.
