Standard: A binding offer from a Canadian investor

In these offers, we find JKC Capital, the investment company of John Chayka (32 years old) of Canada. To the best of our knowledge, the former general manager of the Arizona Coyotes hockey team (he was the youngest manager in NHL history at the time, but left the club in 2020) is looking to acquire a majority stake in Standard, along with American Jared Porter. Scouting director of the Boston Red Sox (a baseball team owned by the same owner as Liverpool Football Club).

The two men, who visited the Lige facilities a few weeks ago and attended Standard – Club Brugge on 23 January, want to take over the day-to-day management of the club. He visited several Western European clubs, but became fascinated by the passion surrounding Standard and the club’s history. Apart from the fact that they want to be active in the direct transfer market, the academy and women’s football will be at the center of their project.
