England’s Anthony Barry joins Roberto Martinez’s staff

The Belgian Federation has not yet communicated on the subject. “I could not miss the opportunity to join Belgium and participate in the final stage of the next World Cup,” launched the 35-year-old English technician who played in League One at Yeovil Town between 2005 and 2007. Barry has also been part of Chelsea’s technical staff since August 2020.

This is the second contribution for the Catalan since the summer of 2016. Orphaned by Sean Maloney, who left for Scotland at the end of December to train Hibernian, Martinez has indeed welcomed Thomas Vermalen in January. The now former defender, 85 appearances with the national team, ended his playing career and went straight to a career as a technician.
