Sports equipment maker Adidas announced on Wednesday that it had breached contract after the broadcast of a video accusing French footballer Kurt Zouma of abusing his cat where he hit her multiple times.

“We have closed our investigation and we can confirm that Kurt Zouma is no longer an athlete under contract with Adidas,” the German-based company said in an email to AFP.
