Lois Openda sends Vitesse to Dutch Cup quarter-finals

Lois Openda and his club Vitesse Arnhem qualified for the quarter-finals of the Dutch Cup on Tuesday.

Thanks to an assist and a goal from Devil, Vitesse won 2–0 against DVS’ 33 Ermelo, a Third Division team. Lined up from the start, the player on loan from Club Brugge allowed his team to take the lead after only 20 minutes. After a fine individual action, he served Dan Huisman, who put the leather out of reach of the visiting goalkeeper (22nd, 1-0). From a smack, the striker became the scorer by scoring his team’s second goal to definitively validate qualification before the hour mark (57th, 2–0).
