Peter Sagan presented himself to the media this Thursday to announce his retirement from the Tour de France. The Slovak from Bora-Hansgrohe will not start the 12th stage due to a knee problem.
This is a first for Peter Sagan. In 10 participations on the Tour de France, the Slovak had never known abandonment. The star of world cycling announced this Thursday, a few minutes before the start of the 12th stage which will take the riders to Nîmes, that he was forced to leave the race.

A knee problem
