Mercato: Monaco negotiates for Boadu


Monaco are in talks with AZ Alkmaar for the transfer of promising striker Myron Boadu. The negotiations are considered positive.


With the resumption of Ligue 1 and Champions League qualifying fast approaching, AS Monaco has shifted into high gear. After completing the recruitment of German-Senegalese Ismail Jakobs, the Monegasque management is seeking to strengthen its offensive sector.

Stevan Jovetic left free at the end of his contract, the Principality club is looking to recruit Myron Boadu. AS Monaco are negotiating with AZ Alkmaar for the 20-year-old Dutch striker, considered a great prospect in the Netherlands.

A hoped-for quick agreement

Protected by a certain Mino Raiola, the agent in particular of Paul Pogba or Marco Verratti, Myron Boadu is already one of the sure values ​​of the Dutch first division. Launched among the pros in May 2018, the striker has just had two great seasons there.


If Monaco and AZ have not yet reached an agreement, the discussions are deemed positive by the various parties and an agreement is hoped for in the coming days.

A devastating burst of speed

After scoring 20 goals in 39 games in 2019-2020, the player trained at AZ Alkmaar comes out of a full practice in 2020-2021. In 38 appearances in all competitions, Myron Boadu has scored 15 goals and delivered 2 assists.
