A budget that could explode, up to 7 billion euros

The European confederation, whose boss, Alexander Ceferin, still cannot digest the betrayal of certain club bosses, first of all that of Juventus Turin, Andrea Agnelli, plans to respond financially. UEFA is currently working with a British investment fund based in London to come up with a new Champions League. This new version of the most prestigious European competition would have an initial budget of around 4.5 billion euros, and which could go up to 7 billion euros.

This proposal is being considered in the offices of UEFA in collaboration with European teams who reject the Super League, in particular Bayern Munich and PSG. But also the teams which could finally give up the idea of ​​joining the Super League, and thus remain in the fold of UEFA. This English fund has been in discussion for several weeks with UEFA. The project would focus on a stronger Champions League with additional income for clubs.
