CBSE has said that there has been no change in its decision regarding the conduct of the remaining examinations of class 10th and 12th. These exams will definitely be conducted. CBSE will get the main 29 subjects paper after the situation is normal.
On Wednesday, CBSE tweeted: “Various speculations are being made about the 10th CBSE board exams. It is reiterated that the Board is firm in its decision to conduct the examination of 29 main subjects of class 10th and 12th, which is also mentioned in the circular issued on April 1, 2020.
The CBSE response came after speculation that was born after the statement by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday told Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ that the pending board exams of class 10th and 12th are being held due to the lockdown implemented to prevent the spread of Kovid-19 infection.
It is not practical to organize yet. He made this recommendation in a meeting of education ministers of states headed by the Union Minister of Human Resource Development.
Sisodia had said, “Due to the need for social distance, it is not practical to conduct the board examinations of the remaining subjects of class 10th and 12th in May or June.
The academic session will also be affected by delayed examination. Other states have their own board of education but the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for Delhi.
Most of the CBSE students come from Delhi. I appeal to the Minister of Human Resource Development to ask CBSE to adopt the formula for promoting students of ninth and 11th standard.
In this uncertain time, I do not know whether we will be able to conduct the examination again or not. Therefore, students of class 10th and 12th should also be evaluated on the basis of internal assessment and examination done so far.
Evaluation of CBSE board exam answer books will start soon
Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said on Wednesday, “We are trying to start the work of evaluating the answer sheets of the CBSE board 10th 12th papers which have been done.”
He said “Now out of the remaining 83 papers of CBSE’s 10th and 12th board, there will be 29 subjects exams. Marks of the remaining optional subjects will be based on their internal assessment. As soon as the situation becomes normal, the examinations of 29 subjects of CBSE will start. Continue your studies. ”
The Ministry of Human Resource Development has also dismissed the speculation of not having board exams. The ministry says that as soon as the situation is normal, the board examinations of class 10th and 12th will be conducted.
According to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, CBSE will ensure the date of board examinations. After the lockdown ends, the students will be informed about the date of the examinations. The students will be informed about the exam date at least 10 days before the board exams.
