Shimla, Nov 21 (PTI) BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda said on Saturday that the BJP’s victory in Bihar assembly elections and by-elections in other states is a public seal on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s successful Kovid management. The BJP president is on a two-day tour of his home state. Referring to the various steps taken by the Center to deal with the Corona virus crisis, he said in Lehnu, Bilaspur, that the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations have praised Prime Minister Modi for this. A government spokesperson said Nadda later reviewed the construction works of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Kothipura in Bilaspur district along with Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur. In a meeting with Director and other senior officials of PGIMER, Chandigarh and representatives of the construction company, Nadda said that there should be no compromise on the quality of construction. Nadda expressed satisfaction that AIIMS construction could be completed by December next year despite the crisis of Kovid-19. He said that efforts should be made to start MBBS classes this December. Nadda said that it is a matter of pride that 18 doctors from Himachal Pradesh have been selected for AIIMS. On this occasion, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Nadda for sanctioning AIIMS for Himachal Pradesh and adequate budgetary provision for the construction of the institute. He said that AIIMS would prove to be a milestone in strengthening health services in the state.
