PSG will face Bayern Munich this Wednesday evening in the Champions League quarter-final first leg (9 p.m., RMC Sport 1). With two surprises in his starting XI: the tenure of Colin Dagba in defense and Julian Draxler in attack.
Until the last moment or almost, Mauricio Pochettino maintained the vagueness around the team he was going to align on the field of Bayern Munich this Wednesday evening in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League (9 p.m., RMC Sport 1). And for good reason: the PSG coach had a few surprises in store …
Deprived of Mauro Icardi, Marco Verratti, Leandro Paredes, Layvin Kurzawa and Alessandro Florenzi, the Argentinian technician took out two rather unexpected names from his hat: those of Colin Dagba and Julian Draxler.

Kean and Kehrer on the bench
For the French right-back, it’s a half-surprise: Dagba was in competition with Thilo Kehrer, who had more experience on paper, but who had not been convincing during his last outings. Draxler, on the other hand, takes the place of Moise Kean numerically, which is more astonishing. But the Italian recovered recently from the Covid, and did not present in the eyes of the staff all the physical guarantees to start. It remains to be seen in what exact role the German attacking midfielder will be used.
Otherwise, Keylor Navas is obviously tenured in goals, Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe in hinge, and Abdou Diallo on the left. Idrissa Gueye and Danilo Pereira will be associated in the middle, with an offensive quartet in front of them, therefore composed of Draxler, but also Angel Di Maria, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappé, who will take place at the forefront of the attack.
The eleven Parisian: Navas – Dagba, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Diallo – Danilo, Gueye – Di Maria, Neymar, Draxler – Mbappé.
