Pul-e-Alam, May 1: No one has taken immediate responsibility for this attack on Friday night in Pul-e-Alam, the capital of the country’s Logar province. Nothing has been known about why the guest house was targeted. In Afghanistan, the government provides free facilities for staying in guest houses and this facility is usually given to the poor, travelers and students. The Ministry of Home Affairs has blamed the Taliban for this attack, but the Taliban has not said anything about it yet.

The attack took place a day before the official date, when the process of withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan is to begin. The Taliban have demanded the withdrawal of all US forces by May 1. It has not given any guarantee of the security of the retreating forces. American or NATO forces are not deployed in Logar province. Also read: America White House: US will deploy additional forces in Afghanistan for military security

Home Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said that the investigation into the attack is on. He told that in this attack the roof of the guest house collapsed and there is a possibility of more bodies buried in the rubble.
