The risk of global pandemic coronavirus (Covid-19) is increasing rapidly on this biggest market in Asia after 11 traders belonging to the Azadpur market located in the capital Delhi were found infected with the coronavirus.
North Delhi District Magistrate Deepak Shinde said on Wednesday that the Coronavirus investigation report of 11 traders associated with the Azadpur market has come back positive. The work of locating the people who have come in contact with these people has been started.
Shinde said that those found to be Corona positive have no direct connection to the mandi and people coming in contact with them as a precaution are being searched. In the past too, there was a report of a corona-linked businessman getting corona infected.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said on Wednesday that the Azadpur mandi is being properly transition-free. All the nearby shops where COVID-19 positive cases were reported to have been sealed. All precautionary measures are being taken.
Satyendra Jain said that those who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms of COVID-19 will be kept in home quarantine for 14 days and will be treated in their homes, as per the new protocol. There is no need to hospitalize such patients.
The Center stated that plasma therapy is very technical and currently at the experimental level. Those who do not have it, should not practice it. Delhi has central government permission. Only those who have it should treat it.

Market sources said that in case of contamination of traders, the action is being taken to seal several shops and work of quarantine has been started by tracing those who come in contact with the traders.
Azadpur is Asia’s largest fruit and vegetable market. Thousands of traders come to the market every day for horse-trading. There were also reports of lockdown violations a few days ago.
Delhi Corona ranks third in terms of a number of infected. A total of 3337 cases of the virus have been reported in the capital so far and 54 people have died.
